How do I free space by moving big files to an external drive?
By Vishva Variya · Updated
Short answer
Open Clean Up, choose Large Files, select what you don’t need on this Mac and choose Move to Drive. The files move to the external drive you pick, nothing is deleted, and Undo moves them back. Files in use and iCloud-only placeholders are skipped.
Steps
- 1Open Clean Up and choose Large Files.⇧⌘K
- 2Set Larger than and Last used, then sort by size.
- 3Select files and choose Move to Drive, then pick the drive.
- 4Changed your mind? Undo it from Activity.⇧⌘Y
Still stuck?
How do I contact support?
- Email support@getpeekaboo.app. It goes straight to the developer. Settings › License › Copy Support Info adds your app and macOS version, with the license key hidden.
