Peekaboo is a native Mac app that shows your files as a library, finds them in plain English and frees space you can get back. Here’s the full list.
Library and views
- Home dashboard
- A greeting, your file count and total size, Library folder cards per category, Clean Up cards and recent shelves of photos, videos, music and documents.

- A Spotlight-style panel from any app with ⌥Space (customisable).
- Saved searches
- Pin a search to the sidebar and it always shows what matches right now.
- Text in images
- Apple Vision OCR on screenshots, photos and PDFs, with bulk copy.
Downloads
- Downloaded From
- Downloads grouped by source domain — Gmail, Drive, ChatGPT, Canva, X, Slack, WhatsApp, GitHub or any website — from macOS’s own “Where from” metadata.
- Menu bar
- Your ten newest downloads with thumbnails, ready to drag into any app.
Cleanup
- Duplicates
- Exact copies by SHA-256 (size-bucketed first) and look-alike photos by Vision feature prints.
- Clean Up cards
- Duplicates, forgotten downloads (90+ days, never opened), old installers, old screenshots, big old videos and unused apps.
- Undo Cleanup
- Every cleanup is a recorded session. One click puts every file back from the Trash.
