How do I undo a cleanup?
By Vishva Variya · Updated
Short answer
Press ⌥⌘Z (Edit › Put Back Last Cleanup) to return everything the last cleanup moved. For an earlier one, open Cleanup History with ⇧⌘Y and click Put Back next to it. Files return to where they were, as long as you haven’t emptied the Trash since.
Steps
- 1Put back the last cleanup.⌥⌘Z
- 2Or open Cleanup History and choose the cleanup to put back.⇧⌘Y
Items removed for good, which needs Settings › Cleanup › Allow permanent removal turned on, can’t be put back. Neither can anything after you empty the Trash.
In Settings
- Open Cleanup HistorySettings › Cleanup
- —
- Allow permanent removalSettings › Cleanup
- Lets Free Up Space remove things that can't go to the Trash: Xcode simulators and runtimes, Homebrew apps, package-manager tools and local snapshots.

How do I contact support?
- Email support@getpeekaboo.app. It goes straight to the developer. Settings › License › Copy Support Info adds your app and macOS version, with the license key hidden.
