What search tokens does Peekaboo understand?
By Vishva Variya · Updated
Short answer
Type key:value next to plain language and each becomes a chip you can see. ext:swift picks a file extension, path:src/app a part of the path, in:~/Library a folder to look in, kind:code a kind of file, repo:name a git repository, and hidden: includes hidden files.
- ext:pdf — files with that extension.
- path:src/app — the path contains this.
- in:~/Library — only inside this folder.
- kind:code — a kind of file: code, pdf, screenshot, image, video, music, document, spreadsheet, presentation, text, archive or installer.
- repo:peekaboo — inside that git repository.
- hidden: — hidden files too (hidden: on its own means “include hidden files”).
ext:swift parser from last weekQuote values with spaces: path:"Application Support". A token inside a quoted phrase stays text, and a value a key can’t use (kind:banana) is left as text too. Search Everywhere then walks the disk for files Spotlight doesn’t index.

How do I contact support?
- Email support@getpeekaboo.app. It goes straight to the developer. Settings › License › Copy Support Info adds your app and macOS version, with the license key hidden.
